- I have been in and out of the rooms for four years now. I was sober for a year and half then went out again for six months but I am back in the programme and am enjoying my sobriety again. My partner is an active alcoholic so I asked him to move out after Christmas as I was drowning in codependency and avoiding my own issues. We have a two year old son together called Jack who is the love of my life. I enjoy going to meetings, yoga, meditation, walking, going to church, hanging out with friends, watching great films, going out for meals and sailing.

I am so glad that things have worked out for you and that AA has given you what the promises say they will. I am still early in recovery and have major codependency issues and feel like you - that I am stumbling through life. But I will continue to tread the path one day at a time and hope one day to feel as you do today. Thank you for sharing your feelings it has really helped me today.
